Geocaching is an activity many enjoy for exploration, puzzle-solving and learning about new places and things. Cache containers and hiding locations can be as creative as the human mind. Some caches require solving puzzles, even introducing participants to cryptography, to determine their location of the hidden cache.
WaterWealth has taken up geocaching as a way to introduce more people to the water wealth of the Upper Fraser Valley. Caches will be placed at sites of particular ‘water’ interest, highlighting water places of special historic, cultural, spiritual, economic or ecological value in the region. Web pages will be added here for each cache as they are rolled out.
Geocaching apps are available for tablets and smartphones. For Android devices we like c:geo.
